Kisatchie Fly Fishers monthly general meeting
Monday, January 22, 2018
Rapides Westside Library, 5416 Provine, Alexandria

For our program this month, Catch Cormier will talk about fly fishing for crappie. If you attended Brandon Jennings presentation at the Cenla Fishing Festival, then this will be a good complimentary program, geared entirely towards fly rod use and strategies.

We'll also have an open discussion about the Festival.  Also fishing reports and upcoming activities.

General Discussion / 2-Bank Marine Battery Charger
« Last post by Flydude on January 04, 2018, 03:52:40 AM »
Good day to everyone,

I have custom ordered a new boat and it should be ready by the middle of this month. I plan to install a 2-Bank Marine Battery Charger and have been on the internet researching all the different brands and models. I have narrowed it down to two (2) and would like to get any input from anybody that has any experience with either model.

1) Pro Mariner model ProSport 8-amp 2-bank.

2) NOCO model Genius 8-amp 2-bank.

Thanks in advance for you help,

It is so cold here that you would not be able to cut a channel in the ice to cast a fly.
I think it will be Tuesday afternoon to get above zero.

Flyfish, you are soooooo right. I do have the guts, just don't need the ''glory'' if there is any. Found out on last nights news that we have not had one day above freezing since 12-22-2017, as the guy on the Wolf's brand chili used to say,'' Well, that too long.'' When it warms up this spring the wife and I are going fishing, she wants to try some flies that Rick Z tied up special for her, that should be interesting watching her haul in the gills. Take care, stay Warm, John.

Very Blessed Christmas pair of waders....great present, since I discovered my old ones sprung a leak on a 19 degree wade.  Also got a set of LaserLyte targets, a great indoor activity when it’s cold outside!
