Fishing 8-24-17
« on: August 24, 2017, 01:17:21 PM »
Went out to a farm pond this am.   Midge hatch going on in the center of the pond, way beyond where I can cast to.
Found crappie just at the edge of the weeds around the pond.  Caught the ones that I could raise the head up on and slide over the weeds.  The ones that buried their heads in the weeds got off.
Still came home with several.  Dinner on the way and fillets to share.
Dr. Mike and Rubber legged dragon variation did it today.

Sounds like a good trip, to me. Wife and I will go fishing probably nest week after the weather settles down. We have had several heavy rains in our area in last 10 days. Have you gotten any rain up your way as of now? I'll give you a fishing report on the tiny flies you made when we go. Take care, John
It's not what you do, it how you do what you do, that counts.
