TFO Finesse 2wt action this morning.
« on: May 28, 2017, 02:11:24 PM »
Hit up Sulphur Creek in Lampasas TX this morning. First 10 or 15 all on a #12 pink squirrel. Snagged on a sunken log and switch over to a #8 woolly bugger.

Going to hit up Nolan Creek in Belton TX this evening with the 2wt, and may break out the Tenkara rod too.
Do it with 3wt and below! It's a lot of fun.

That first fish has coloring kind of like a Black Crappie, beautiful.
May the sun always shine and the wind be to your back, Thomas

Mike, looks like the 2wt. made a good accounting for itself. I have two 2wt. TFO's, the 6' and the 8' and both are a blast to fish with. Those two and my 3wt. are about all I fish with these. A friend of mine, Rex White, a member here introduced me to 2 wt's. and it has been all downhill from there. I enjoy the 2 wt. rod for gills, lots of action. Take care, John.

Hey there Flyfish, how are you doing? The ''downhill'' part is I could spend all my money on 2 wt. stuff, however, Marilyn has other ideas, mortgage, food, clothes, insurance and Dr. bills. I really don't see the need for all that stuff, but she does, go figure. How are you two doing and are you getting any more fishing in since retirement set in? You two take care, John. :stirthepot:

You got that right, about those good fishing memories, there are a bunch. I remember the first time you let me use the 3 wt. that was an eye opener for me. 'Gill were always fun, but 3 and then 2 wt. fly rods make it more fun. Y'all take care, John.
